COVID-19 Protocols
WMCSD will not be making any changes to the district’s quarantine protocols at this time. The protocols we have in place have worked to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our schools. Since school started on August 10, 2020, WMCSD has had 16 out of 203 employees and 44 out of 1,184 students test positive.
Employees and students who are a close contact of someone who has tested positive will be excluded from the school setting and extracurricular activities and should be quarantined at home for 14 days. Employees and students who test positive will be excluded from the school setting and extracurricular activities and should be isolated at home for 10 days from the positive test.
Students and Staff Return January 4, 2021
Prior to returning, parents of students should report positive test results and/or close contacts to WMCSD by emailing us at tigertalk@winonaschools.net or calling (662) 283-3731 ext 1 and leaving a message. Employees should follow the protocols as outlined in the WMCSD Return to Work/School Procedures.
