2024-2025 Winona-Montgomery School District
Dress Code
All students attending Winona-Montgomery Consolidated School District are expected to dress appropriately for the K-12 educational environment. Student dress should support active participation in learning as well as support the health and safety of students and the adults who supervise them. This policy is intended to provide guidance for staff, students, and parents.
In relation to student dress, the district’s core values are as follows:
■ Students should be able to dress for school in a manner that expresses their individuality as long as it does not interfere with the learning process and the health and safety of themselves or other students.
■ Students should be treated equitably. Dress Code should not create disparities or reinforce or increase the marginalization of any individual or group.
Students’ clothing, make-up, and hairstyles should reflect neatness, cleanliness, and self-respect of the individual student in such a way that the student is a reflection of the school's goal to be a desirable place that promotes student learning and character development.
