Can a student change from the At-Home Learning Program to the face-to-face Hybrid Schedule or from Hybrid to At-Home?
Winona Secondary students may not change programs after August 24, 2020. Secondary students are using a program called Edgenuity and must work in the program the entire semester in order to earn credit toward graduation.
Winona Elementary students may change from At-Home to Hybrid or from Hybrid to At-Home one time in the fall semester. Any change in programs will take place the day after a progress reporting period.
The first progress report date is September 9. Students may begin a new program Thursday, September 10. The report card date is October 14. Students may begin a new program Thursday, October 15. These dates are the only times students may change programs in the first semester of school which ends on December 18.
In order to request a change in programs, the parent/guardian must meet with Principal Tabitha McCrory or Assistant Principal Nikita Smith on one of the following dates:
September 2, 3, 4, or 8 to change on September 10.
October 7, 8, 9, 12, or 13 to change on October 15.
To schedule an appointment, please call Winona Elementary at (662) 283-4129.
School administrators may use their discretion in granting requests to change programs. If the parent/guardian does not attend the meeting, no changes will be made.
If the district’s plan is amended and there are program choices for students, parents will be notified and given a deadline for making that decision.
