COVID-19 Update 03.19.2020 8:20pm WMCSD leaders are working day and night to decide how school looks for the next 4 weeks. We will be announcing our plans for meals and at-home learning soon. We hope all our students, families, and employees are doing well. This is only our 4th day out, but we miss our students. Educating kids is our life’s work. We encourage students and even adults to make a list of things they would like to learn more about and take advantage of the free resources that are available to you. You should not be working on school work all day everyday, but you should spend some time each day reading, writing, and learning something new. Good Afternoon, WMCSD Employees, Students, and Families. I know you have lots of questions that we don’t have answers to at the moment. Although Spring Break has been extended another week, WMCSD teachers and administrators continue to work from home on making decisions in the best interest of all of our students. We are communicating constantly via email and text messages. We are brainstorming ideas for how to serve our students and families. We have as many questions as you do, but we are learning just how creative we can be in a difficult situation. WMCSD is a small district, but we are mighty Tigers! We will continue to monitor and learn more about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and how to limit its spread by staying in contact with the Mississippi State Department of Health and state offices. We will share information as it becomes available. Please bear with us as this is a constantly changing situation. Thank you for your patience and support! Teresa Jackson, Superintendent
