It is with great pride and excitement that I begin my fourth year at Winona Elementary School. It is an absolute honor to lead a school with such hard-working students, a dedicated staff, and a supportive school community.
This will be my 12th year in education. The first seven years were spent as a first-grade teacher. During this time, I obtained a master’s degree in Elementary Education. I transitioned into Exceptional Education and became a Special Education Interventionist for three years.
I obtained my Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Delta State University, where I received the prestigious award of being named the “top student” in the College of Education Program.
I have spent the last two and half years as the assistant principal here at Winona Elementary School. I transitioned into the principal’s position this past January. Although I have always felt at home in the classroom, becoming an administrator is where I have been most fulfilled in my journey as an educator.
Our top priority at Winona Elementary is ensuring our students receive a high-quality education, feel valued, feel safe, and feel loved. Nothing is more important than our students and meeting their needs as a whole child.
I encourage you to become a part of your child’s educational journey. Your input is very valuable to the success of our students. I look forward to a great school year and a brand-new start at Winona Elementary School.
Educationally Yours,
Tracy Moore
