It’s a Great Day to be a Tiger!
Academic progress reports will be sent home Wednesday, November 16th. Parents, please encourage your child to do his/her best every day. Sometimes it is hard for students and even adults to stay focused on the important things when there are so many distractions in the day to day.
The WES PTO Fall Festival was held on Saturday, November 12 at the Montgomery County Coliseum. There was fun for everyone with games, bounce houses, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors and more. What a great way for the community to get together and support WES students and staff in the process!
WMCSD students and staff will enjoy Thanksgiving Holidays from November 21 - 25 and return to school on Monday, November 28th.
Winona Secondary held a FAFSA day for seniors on Tuesday of this week. All students, even those who have not decided whether they will attend a college or university, should go ahead and fill out the FAFSA so they are eligible for grants and/or scholarships.
Your Winona Tigers Football Team beat Water Valley Friday night at home in the second round of playoff action. This week, we will make the trip to Amory to take on the AHS Panthers. Game time is 7:00 pm and tickets can be purchased ONLY through GoFan. Please check out our district Facebook page for a link and more information.
High School Basketball will be in action this week. The Tigers traveled to Calhoun City on Tuesday and will be back at home on Thursday for a contest with French Camp. Basketball will return to action after the Thanksgiving Break on November 29th at JJ Knox Gym versus Coffeeville. The first game of the soccer season is coming up on November 28 with a game at Yazoo County. Best wishes for a great season to coaches Mark Austin and Mikel Sykes and their teams.
