Winona Elementary School is excited to welcome our littlest Tigers to school for the 2020-2021 school year. All PreK and kindergarten classes will be traditional with students attending school 5 days per week.
Friday, July 24, PreK students who have been notified by letter of their acceptance to the program will attend the Pre-Kindergarten Screening held at Winona Elementary. Students and their parents have been assigned times between 8:00am and 12:00pm. Parents will park in the designated spaces outside the kindergarten building. School staff will come get parents and students when it is their assigned time. For everyone’s protection, students, parents, and employees will have temperatures checked and must wear a mask while on campus.
Tuesday, August 4 from 9:00-10:30am is Parent Day for PreK parents and their children. On Parent Day, we encourage parents to bring their children to Winona Elementary School to meet their teachers and drop off school supplies. We encourage you to use Parent Day to spend time in the classroom with your child, so both you and your child will feel comfortable on the first day of school. Again, temperatures will be checked and masks will be required to attend.
Friday, August 7 will be the first day of school. In an effort to protect the health of everyone, parents will not be able to walk their children into their classrooms. Teachers will meet the children in the car rider line and walk them inside the building.
