Parent Days at Winona Elementary
Winona-Montgomery Consolidated School District is pleased to announce Parent Days at Winona Elementary School. On August 4-6, parents and students are invited to come to WES to meet their teachers and drop off supplies following the schedule below. Parents, students, and teachers will wear face coverings and temperature checks will be taken prior to entering the school.
August 4th
- 9:00-10:30 - PreK
- 10:45-12:15 - First Grade
- 1:00-2:30 - Third Grade
August 5th
- 9:00-10:30 - Kindergarten
- 1:00-2:30- 2nd Grade
August 6th
- 9:00-10:30 - 6th Grade
- 10:45-12:15 - 5th Grade
- 1:00-2:30 - 4th Grade
Due to COVID-19, lots of things will be different about school this year. One of those things will be that parents will not be able to walk children into the building on the first day. Teachers will meet the children in the car rider and bus lines and walk students inside the building.
We are excited about Parent Days as this gives parents and students more time in the classroom than would normally be allowed on the first day of school. We encourage parents to use the assigned Parent Days to spend time getting children familiar with their new classrooms and teachers. This will help students and parents feel comfortable and prepared for the first day of school.
School Start and Dismissal Times
School leaders are currently working on start and dismissal times for each school. Those times and procedures will be shared next week. We expect times to be a little different as we anticipate more students being transported to and from school by private vehicles.
Reopening Schools Survey for Parents #2
Please be reminded that parents need to fill out the survey about their preference for back to school. Parents may choose face-to-face or at-home. PreK and kindergarten will not have an at-home option. All PreK and kindergarten classes will be face-to-face.
You can complete the short survey online or you may print a copy from the website. You may also pick up a copy to complete at either school starting Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Thank you in advance, TIGER Parents!
